Community Health Assessment

In collaboration with Health Resources in Action (HRiA), NC-8 has officially released the completed 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA) Report. This comprehensive, data-driven assessment was conducted to identify current and emerging health needs across five NC-8 member towns (Canton, Dedham, Norwood, Walpole, and Westwood).

Strategic Plan

NC-8 has adopted a new five-year strategic plan to guide its work through 2031. The plan was developed over six months by health leaders and regional staff from Canton, Dedham, Milton, Norwood, Walpole, Wellesley, and Westwood. It focuses on four priorities, including:

  1. Streamlining shared systems so the coalition can respond to public health needs faster;
  2. Building a resilient, well-trained regional workforce;
  3. Strengthening unified messaging so residents recognize NC-8 and their local health departments as trusted sources of health information; and
  4. Securing sustainable programming and funding.

Each priority is backed by measurable goals, timelines, and designated leads, with regular progress reports to the coalition.
